Looking into our futures

Future Events is the best way to find out about upcoming ceremonies and celebrations. But we don't mean things which are coming up within a few months We take this one step further and provide you information about events which we think might take place within the next fifty years.

We sometimes link our events to the independent publication, News of Future, which predicts what the world might look like in the next 50 years. At one point or another, we have all envisaged our future; maybe you've imagined you have won the jackpot on partypoker FR , or you are hoping that you will be happily married with children in a beautiful home. However, News of Future takes the current situation and develops it, to produce an accurate prediction. It tries to create a picture of the future, from predicting how drugs and medicine will progress, to assuming that one day we will be living on Mars. By assessing the ways the world is developing and changing today, it is possible to come up with an idea of what the future might be like, and Future Events shows you what exciting things we might expect to encounter in our lifetime.

It is hard to picture what our world might be like in 50 years, or imagine what the headlines might be. Do you think it is possible that a global drought will occur by 2038, due to Coca Cola owning the world's supply of water, or by 2024, we would have entered a 'lunar decade', where we will see planned missions to the Moon as well as concepts for long term exploration of the satellite?

According to News of Future, countries including Russia, South Africa and the West Indies will suffer from dehydration due to global warming. This crisis has been predicted to happen by 2038. By this time, experts assume the earth's crust will start to deteriorate due to the increase in the global temperature, which could mean that people will not survive past the summer of 2042. It is also thought that 73% of the earth's water will be owned by Coca Cola and the company will steal water from countries like Russia, turning them into drought areas. How realistic do you think this prediction is? The fizzy drink company has recently been accused of excessive water usage in India, which makes this prediction frighteningly more believable.
