ChunCheon, the host city of the “World Leisure Congress and Leisure Games 2010” is making utmost efforts to present unforgettable memories to the people across the world through the 2010 events.
In 2010, ChunCheon hosts three major events of 11th World Leisure Congress, World Leisure Trade Show, and 1st World Leisure Games along with diverse culture programs, social programs and such unique pre- and post-events tours as DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) tour, temple stay, pottery making etc.
I am confident that the 2010 ChunCheon Leisure events will provide the important building blocks for the peace and unity in Korean Peninsula, the world’s last divided nations, and this will add more importance to the 2010 events.
ChunCheon, the central city of Korean Peninsula, boasts its natural beauty. Its peaceful lakes and grand mountains present many different scenic places, making ChunCheon one of the most favorable places for photographing and film making.
In addition, its unique culture and art festivals have painted diverse colors to ChunCheon City, boosting the quality of life for the local residents as well as the year-round tourists. And this has contributed to promoting ChunCheon’s image of the “Leisure City.”
Now I sow a tiny seed called "ChunCheon" in your heart. This seed will grow into a plant big enough to arouse your academic interest in leisure and identity, passion for leisure games, and cultural curiosity for ChunCheon and Korea.
