The WIF is five major events in one.
- An international competition where the best specialists in the sector will go head to head in Limoges, France, over 24 hours non-stop. They will be chosen during preselections organized by WIF’s partner countries. The preselections will be held between mid-October 2009 and mid-February 2010. An online preselection is also planned for February 2010 for those participants whose countries are not partners of WIF. The 100 best candidates will go head-to-head in Limoges during the final from June 3 to 5, 2010. To apply or for more information, simply visit WIF's website: www.webdesign-festival.com.
- An international market place where commercial exchanges and industrial partnerships can be created in the sectors of new interfaces, new uses and digital innovation.
- An international congress: conferences and workshops, training sessions, round tables, debates on innovative themes (web 3, sensorial design, home automation interfaces, web security, accessibility, ergonomics, etc.).
- Speed-meeting sessions: an original and dynamic concept for confidential and pre-arranged meetings, this job fair will allow professionals from the sector to identify young talents, and allow students and job seekers to demonstrate their creative potential.
- Events for the general public including exhibitions, discovery workshops and "mini WIF" for school children.

WIF’s demos are a unique occasion to make new business acquaintances through an innovating concept and meetings between professionals.
The concept: innovating start-ups and project bearers come to the scene to reveal or introduce their latest betas to an experienced audience of Business angels, Venture capitals, hosted buyers and journalists.
The event: on Friday June, 4th during a WIF private dinner session, 10 demos will be selected by a special comity and displayed to an audience of entrepreneurs and investors.
Tech, marketing, service and interface design innovations: that’s what it will be about. These live demos will be premiered for those with an eye for future solutions or eager to invest in a rising project.

It’s official now! Russie is the 8th partner country to set up his own physical preselections this year. And 2 russian teams will be rocketed to the Webjam final in France next June!
Will russian bring a bit of crazyness to the Webjam final? Considering the value of some digital agencies over there, we do think so…
So the russian preselection will be physical this year and happen on March 12th&13th in the good city of Obninsk. It is the city itself who stands out as a partner for this very-first Webjam in eastern Europe.
Obninsk is about a hundred kms (60 miles) from Moscow and has been declared as an official “Science City” by the state of Russia in 2000. This city was built right from the forest and close to the first atomic power plant of the world (that is to say in 1956). Here’s for History.
Right now in Russia Obninsk is synonymous with innovation and thriving economy.
